Get To Know Me
Hello families! I’m Gerlie, owner of Happy Hearts Family Child Care Home in Carlsbad. I have been caring for children since high school with all my nieces and nephews in the Philippines, and now with my own kids who are in Calavera Hills elementary school in Carlsbad.
Through my 18 years experience in the retail world, including management positions, I have learned to be patient, passionate, and always do my best on whatever I do! I stopped working in retail when I was pregnant with my first daughter in 2014 to be a homemaker. I have worked as a part-time helper at Beeyoubeehappy Family Child Care in Carlsbad for 8 months, which inspired me to build my own childcare business. With my past work experience and being a mother of three children under 10 years old, I have excellent childcare experience for children of all ages. I simply love working with young kids and approach each child as an individual whom I get to help grow and teach. Now, I’m looking for new challenges and hope to venture even further down my chosen career path, continuing to learn as I go. Find out more about me by getting in touch. My strengths are that I am responsible, reliable, and a caring person. My kids and I love music, together with singing karaoke and dancing too! We also love arts and crafts, drawing, and playing games!
I am currently offering babysitting on weekdays from 8:30am - 12:30pm and I am planning to do “Date Nights” on weekends for the parents, once or twice a month in the future.
